Panama

Located in Central America, Panama is bordered to the north by the Caribbean Sea, to the south by the Pacific Ocean, to the east by Colombia and to the west by Costa Rica. Its mountainous territory is interrupted by the basin of the Panama Canal, the interoceanic route that connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific. The Panama Canal is an important engine of the Panamanian economy and the world, since it is the focal point of transport associated with 6% of world trade. Tourism is one of the main activities of the country, focusing on the areas of business, beaches and commerce. It is also one of the most diverse countries in the world, mostly mestizo, with seven indigenous cultures with ancestral customs. Consequently, it has a rich and varied folklore that can be enjoyed at various fairs and festivals.
