Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic occupies two thirds of the island of La Española, the second largest in the archipelago of the Greater Antilles. It borders to the north with the Atlantic Ocean, to the south with the Caribbean Sea, to the east with the Mona Canal that separates it from Puerto Rico and to the west with Haiti, with a land border of 376 km.
It is a mountainous country, divided from southeast to northwest by the Central Mountain Range that culminates in the highest point of all The Antilles, the Pico Duarte. In addition, its 1600 kilometers of coastline and 400 kilometers of beaches, as well as the variety of its flora and fauna makes it the most visited destination in the Caribbean.
