Romania
Romania is a country located at the intersection of Central and Southeast Europe, on the border with the Black Sea. Romania borders with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine and Moldova to the northeast and east, and Bulgaria to the south.
Rumanía posee considerables recursos naturales: petróleo, gas natural, carbón, hierro, cobre y bauxita. The main industries are metallurgy, petrochemicals and mechanical engineering.
The Romanian language, like others in southern Europe, derives directly from Latin, even though Romania is separated from the other communities of Romanesque languages by Slavospeaking countries. Famous Romanians include playwright Eugen Ionesco, gymnast Nadia Comăneci and composer George Enesco.
