SOUTH AFRICA

The Republic of South Africa is a decentralized state administratively divided into a central government and nine provinces. The central Government is headed by the President of the Republic, who is also Head of Government. The current Constitution dates back to 1996 and came into force in 1997. Legislative power is vested in the Parliament, which consists of two chambers, the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces (a body of territorial representation composed of one delegation per province). The provinces have their own government and parliamentary assembly. It is characterized by its cultural diversity, fruit of the combination of different races and traditions creating a multicolored folklore where you can find modern cities and remote places.
