Hungary

Hungary is a state without access to the sea, surrounded by many neighbours: Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. It is predominantly flat, with some low-rise reliefs in the north. Lake Balaton, a popular tourist resort, is the largest in Central Europe.
The capital, Budapest, originated from the union of the cities of Buda and Pest. It extends to both sides of the Danube, and is rich in history and culture and renowned for its thermal baths.
Hungary is a country of deep-rooted musical tradition. Great composers such as Liszt, Bartók and Kodály were inspired by their popular music.
